Our homes are built by volunteers, organizations, and partner families. At the beginning of each day, groups are assigned specific work duties by the Home Leader. During this orientation, volunteers will learn skills about the day's tasks. No experience is necessary, just a desire to learn. For more details on safety and construction, please visit our website.

Release & Waiver of Liability:  All volunteers must bring a completed Waiver to their first volunteer day. E-Mail Crys Davenport or visit our website to get a copy of the form.

Groups:  We would love to schedule your group of 4 or more.  It's fun to work with groups from your workplace, church, student and civic organizations - there is an opportunity available for groups of all sizes! Please contact Crys Davenport for scheduling at (704) 847-4266 or by E-Mail at mailto:Crys@habitatmatthews.org.

You must be 16 or older to volunteer.

Current Projects:

• Sunrise Crossing: In the summer of 2008, Habitat for Humanity Matthews began a new development, Sunrise Crossing, which will consist of 18 single family homes on Matthews School Road. Our first home is sponsored by St. Matthew Catholic Church.
• ReStore Development:Our ReStore is open 5 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We can always use extra help at our store. If interested in volunteering at our ReStore, please contact Norman Belch at (704) 845-2760.

Signing Up:

Sign Up For a Volunteer Day:

• Register by creating a User Name and Password and your personal information.

Groups:  If you are volunteering with a group, make sure to enter your group's join code when registering your user profile and click the "Join" button which will allow you to sign up for the work day Reserved for your group. Complete your registration with "Save and Continue" at the bottom of the page.

• Sign-in at the top right corner of the screen. 
• Scroll down to the Event on which you would like to volunteer. Click the large SIGN UP button to the left of the date. If you have used the system before, you will be asked for your Username and Password. If you have not used the system before, click the "Register" button to complete a user profile and then you may proceed with registration.

Cancel An Event Registration:

• Click 'Sign In' in the upper right corner and log in with your username and password.
• Click the large CANCEL button to the left of the date you need to cancel. 

*If you need to cancel your reservation, please cancel as soon as you know of a conflict so that others may volunteer.*

You must sign in to view your scheduled work days.
